The Goldwing Express Morning Show is a musical ensemble rooted in bluegrass, country, and gospel genres, originating from Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Comprising three brothers and their father, this talented family band was named by their mother, Juanita, after their shared passion for riding Goldwing Motorcycles back in the 1980s. Their musical journey began when the boys were young, as their parents decided to invest in instruments, igniting a passion that has endured for thirty-nine years.
Infused with a proud Native American heritage, a segment of their performances pays homage to their Creek Indian roots, often adorned in traditional Native American headdresses. In recognition of their musical prowess, the Goldwing Express received nominations for Bluegrass Entertaining Band of the Year by SPBGMA in Nashville, Tennessee, from 2003 to 2006. Additionally, they clinched the Valley Star Family Entertaining Band of the Year title in Rio Grande Valley, Texas, for four consecutive years.
At the helm of the group is Bob Baldridge, who not only showcases his mandolin skills and lead vocals but also infuses the performances with his trademark comedy. Bob's musical journey traces back to the early 1970s when he began performing alongside his siblings. Eventually, he envisioned forming a family band, which came to fruition with the addition of his sons Paul, Steven, and Shawn.
