Sheriff Kemp Horn, his daughter Christiana Cordova, and his son Michael Horn are coming out of cowboy retirement. They’re joined by accomplished mandolinist Samuel Clanton and one of Branson’s most talented fiddlers. Together, the Riders will entertain your whole crew with tight vocal harmonies, fun songs, tall tales and poems in honor of the great American cowboy. Treat your family to fresh takes on cowboy music and old-fashioned, family-friendly cowboy comedy.
The Horn family started putting on cowboy music shows in the Black Hills of South Dakota 25 years ago. At the Circle B Ranch, Kemp and Michele Horn with their children Michael, Katie, Megan and Christy did all of the ranch chores you would expect: shoeing trail horses, hitching up the wagon team, cooking biscuits, and putting on shows for ranch guests. They learned how to sing cowboy harmonies and entertain from the world-famous cowboy performers of the Chuckwagons of the West Association. In the early 2000’s, the Horns brought their cowboy show to Branson, Missouri. They put on their Circle B Cowboy Supper Show for many years as “The Riders of the Circle B”. Michael, Katie, Megan and Christy all pursued other careers after they closed the Circle B in 2012. Now Kemp, Michael and Christy are coming out of cowboy retirement by request.
In addition to harmony singing, Kemp plays harmonicas, Christy plays acoustic bass, and Michael plays guitar. Accomplished mandolinist and long-time music collaborator Samuel Clanton joins the group. Samuel has a fine ear for harmonies, due in part to his Alabama gospel-singing upbringing. The Riders are adding one of Branson’s best fiddlers to round out the stage lineup.
